Deleting your account and data

The short version

  • Deletion happens inside the app, immediately, with no approval step. You never wait on us.
  • Your account, email, name, every backed-up health record, the meal-scan counter and your community reports are permanently removed from the database.
  • If you can no longer open the app, you can ask for the same by email.

From inside the app

  1. Open Haftra and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Open the Account section.
  3. Tap Permanently delete account and confirm.

This removes your account, your email address, your name, every health record backed up to your account (injections, weight, blood glucose, side effects, meal notes, daily tracking, treatment settings), the meal-scan counter and the side-effect reports you shared with the community, permanently, from the database. It cannot be undone and takes effect immediately.

To remove the records on the device as well, Settings › Delete all data clears both the device and the account. If you use Haftra without an account, your records exist only on your phone; uninstalling the app deletes them.

By email

If you can no longer open the app, send an email titled "Account deletion request" to destek@haftra.app from the address you created the account with. Once we have confirmed that the sending address matches the account, we delete the account and everything listed above within 7 days and let you know.

What is not deleted, or kept for a while

  • Purchase records for a Haftra+ subscription live with Apple's and Google's stores under their own rules; cancel the subscription from your store account separately.
  • The technical records our authentication layer keeps for session security (IP address and a client identifier) expire on their own after a limited period and are not linked to your health records.
  • Nothing else is retained.
